Urban Planning & Public Space

Dear Asheville,

It's been a long time since you were the small county seat town you used to be, so please embrace your urban reality you now face, instead of pretending to still be a small town, and invest in transit and planning for infill. You have a great location, interesting cityscape and beautiful architecture, but there is still a lot of room for growth and improvement within the downtown core and surrounding areas.

Economy

Dear Asheville,

You are majestic, wonderful, wise, and diverse. Humans are naturally drawn to you and this region, many do not know why and say that spirit and the universe led them here. I often wonder what you think of your natural beauty being economically developed? Your streams being paved over, trees being cut down, and slogans about having you any way humans want? I also often wonder with such natural diversity what you think of how this reflects in the human diversity of class and race? Much gratitude!

People & Diversity

Dear Asheville,

Please lose the awful stereotype that has attracted so many of the obnoxious youth. I have lost a lot of respect for Asheville due to a change of scenery regarding the once vivacious people. Asheville is now home to some of the most disrespectful yuppies I have ever come across. Do this region proud and go back to your roots of being a simple small, mountain town.
